You’re most likely going to get invited to some sort of potluck party where you’ll get to sit down with your friends and enjoy store bought potato salad and fried chicken, you know, the good stuff!
I’m pretty positive that cheap beer will flow and because its cheap, you’ll need at least 27 cans of it just to get you mildly buzzed.
What typically happens is people don’t really want to eat that crap. But they’ll eat it because there’s nothing else to eat other than plain potato chips or the veggie tray that the one vegan in your circle of friends brought.
So with all that in mind, why don’t we take the time to think about what YOU should bring to the potluck. Well since this is a coffee blog, I’m going to tell you to bring coffee. But with it being summer and all that, then I’m going to suggest you bring some COLD BREW! Yes COLD BREW COFFEE! Now don’t quote me on this, but your local It’s A Grind Coffee House makes gallons and gallons of this stuff everyday. See if they’d sell you a big bucket of it! If that’s too crazy for you, then get some beans from It’s A Grind Coffee House, grind it course, and make your own with a Toddy home brew system .
What the heck is a TODDY?! I’m glad you asked! It’s what we make our cold brew with. Our stores use the commercial grade that makes like 10 gallons, but you can buy a home version that makes about 1.6 liters of cold brew. Ok let’s quickly talk about why I’m suggesting cold brew. Well did you know that nearly 80% of people who drink coffee add milk/creamer to their coffee to cut down on the acidity? Well, a cold brew made with the Toddy system cuts down acidity levels in coffee by as much as 67%! This means you could drink cold brew black, kinda like my soul.
Ok back to the potluck, bring cold brew because it’s totally different. It’s something you made (or made by It’s A Grind), it’s unique and kinda cool. I mean think about it, people will ask, “So what did you bring?” You say, “I brought the cold brew.” Immediately people are going to be so curious about it they’ll want to try it. Trust me, cold brew is way smoother than this kid and he’s actually pretty smooth.
